Val d'Isere, France

Val D'Isere Ski Holidays

Val D’Isere is considered by some to be the world’s premier resort and it is hard to fault. It offers some of the best skiing and boarding in the world along with some mighty fine après ski. The pretty village dates back to the 13th century and still manages to retain some of its Savoyarde charm. The resort itself is made up of wood and stone clad buildings with a pedestrian only centre in the village complex. Chalets, apartments and hotels are all available to book for those perfect ski holidays.

'Hi Sammi,  we had a great trip and the skiworld staff at The Lodge were just awesome.  Super easy, convenient and way too much food and wine!!  Fabulous.'  Neve Val D'Isere Dec 2012

Val D'Isere Skiing and Boarding

Val D’Isere links up with Tignes to form the Espace Killy offering a fantastic 300Km of pistes. There are wooded slopes above the village on all sectors which are great for bad visibility days. The nursery slopes are ideally placed right by the centre of town and the lifts serving it are free. Intermediates will want to come back year after year as there are plenty of runs to keep you interested time and time again. The glacier has a good variety of runs for early intermediates to find their legs on and the World Cup downhill run is the best for cruising down. Val D’Isere is one of the top resorts in the world for experts with the main attraction being the huge amount of off piste. On Bellevarde the famous Face run is not to be missed and can sometimes be full of moguls. We definitely recommend hiring a guide though if you fancy tasting some of the off piste that can be found throughout the area of the Espace Killy as it is just amazing.

Val D'Isere Apres Ski

Val D’Isere gets 5 stars for après ski as there are plenty of bars and dancing on offer later on. The Folie Douce at the top of the La Daille gondola has become a bit of an Austrian style après ski party with music and dancing before heading back to the chalet for dinner. Back in the village Bananas, Cafe Face, the Moris pub and the Saloon fill up with people coming off the slopes. Later on if you still have the energy head out to the famous Dick’s Tea Bar or try the new club called the Doudoune. Off the slopes there is still plenty to keep you occupied with the swimming pool, sports centre, ice rink and a huge range of shops.

Val D'Isere Childcare

Val D'Isere Ski and Snowboard Schools

New Generation Ski and Snowboard School - Val D'Isere

New Generation is a small British run ski and snowboard school. New Generation
enjoys an excellent reputation amongst the International ski community. New
Generation was voted ‘No.1 Ski School’ by the ‘Which Guide’ and the ‘Snow
Awards’. The small team of English speaking instructors is led by Blair Aitken, an
experienced coach and examiner in the British instructor system (BASI). The school
offers a full range of lessons for skiers and boarders from morning groups
(beginner to intermediate) to Technical Clinics (Intermediate to advanced) to private
lessons. If you are an experienced skier looking for something different then sign up
to one of their PRO range programmes which cover everything from off-piste
adventures to video feedback assisted learning. If you fancy a one off session to
work on a specific skill (bumps, park, off-piste, ice etc.) then join a SkillSession (Only
55 Euros!).
At peak periods they run children’s lessons in the morning so adults have time to
explore or join lessons themselves. All lessons are in English and the groups are small.
You can book ski or snowboard lessons with New Generation on their website
(www.skinewgen.com), by email info@skinewgen.com or by contacting their office
