Chalet Menus

Food matters a lot to us and we take great care in planning and creating our delicious menus. If your letters and emails are anything to go by we have succeeded in creating menus that are fresh, healthy and beautifully presented – thank you for your appreciation.

We set high standards for our food and we test and taste every one of our recipes – that includes our London office… someone has to do it! Our menus are specially designed to give you what your body needs for active days on the mountain.

And, because food matters to us:
• We believe it is important to use fresh local produce whenever we can
• Our mouth-watering dishes are cooked from scratch and freshly prepared
• We draw inspiration from regional cuisine and combine it with familiar favourites
• And we continue to offer FREE unlimited wine until coffee

All our guests enjoy a welcome drink on arrival day and delicious freshly prepared 3 or 4 course menus 6 out of 7 nights. Our hosts have one well-earned night off when you are free to sample a local restaurant.

And don’t forget that all our chalets and chalet hotels offer FREE unlimited house wine with dinner until coffee.

In all our 4+ and 5  grade chalets we offer an enhanced chalet menu.

Our chalet hosts are thoroughly trained and required to pass a food and hygiene certificate. We have a team of senior managers whose role is to ensure we deliver first class meals and service throughout the season.

We are happy to cater for most dietary requirements as long as we are notified at the time of booking. Please make sure this appears on your invoice otherwise we will not be able to plan our menus accordingly.

This operator has introduced 3 chalets as Ski Lodges for the 2011/12 ski season. The chalets Aigle, Stoanerhof and The Lodge will all take part in this new concept. Included are as follows:

Breakfast until 10am, afternoon tea and a 4 course meal that includes a lighter option for the more controlled among us!
Pre-dinner aperitifs and canapés plus unlimited superior wine throughout dinner
A dedicated Snow Concierge to help with all things snow related
Free WiFi
Lounge Bar offering a range of reasonably priced drinks
Reception Service
English newspapers
Ski magazines, ski DVD's and board games. (Plus a Playstation in Val d'Isere)
Speciality evenings with guest speakers
iPod docks and flat screen TV's (in our Val d'Isere property)

Sample Standard Chalet Menu

Buffet breakfast

• Fresh baguette with a choice of preserves
• Selection of cereals and porridge

• Simple cooked breakfast with eggs and 1 of the following (subject to availability): Bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, pancakes and syrup

Afternoon Tea

• Freshly baked Lemon drizzle cake

Dinner

• Warm Pear, Rocket and Gorgonzola Salad
• Slow cooked Lamb in Beaujolais

• Fresh Lime Cheesecake with lime zest drizzle
