Les Gets Ski Holidays

Les Gets is a pretty, traditional Alpine village that is full of charm. There are plenty of shops selling delicious food and wine for you to sample and take home. It is very child friendly with plenty of activities happening throughout the week to keep children occupied. Ski chalets, hotels and apartments are all available to book for those perfect Les Gets ski holidays. Most facilities are close to the main lift station and there is a free ‘petit train’ that shuttles around the village to save you walking. There is also the normal bus service that takes you to the neighbouring resort of Morzine. Do not miss the market that visits once a week to buy up cheese, cold meats and traditional souvenirs before you go home.

Les Gets Skiing and Boarding

Les Gets is located at the end of the Portes du Soleil circuit close to Geneva so just perfect for short transfers. The main slopes are accessed by gondola and fast chairlift from the nursery slopes in the village. On the opposite side of Les Gets is Mont Chery which includes some challenging slopes and is usually quite quiet. Don’t be put off by the lower altitude of the resort as the slopes are pastureland down to the village so hold the snow really well along with good use of the snow cannons throughout the season. Beginners are ideally placed in Les Gets as the nursery slopes are convenient with excellent runs up on Chavannes to progress to. Intermediates should buy the full area lift pass to get the real mileage under their belts although the local slopes do have a lot to offer in themselves with good red runs on Mont Chery. Experts will take on the black runs on the back of Mont Chery as they are quite steep and sometimes bumpy but in good snow conditions there is plenty of off piste to play in and some fantastic wooded areas. Snowboarders will enjoy the freestyling through the trees. Cross country skiers have 11 miles of varied loops on Mont Chery and Les Chavannes.

Les Gets Apres Ski

There are a good variety of bars from the Irish bar to Bar Bush that will keep you occupied with beers before dinner. Bar Bush has Sky Sports. If you feel like dancing into the wee small hours then head towards the Igloo as this is where the seasonnaire’s head after closing time so there is always fun to be had. Off the slopes there is an outdoor ice rink, fitness centre with pool and bowling. There is also a cinema, husky rides, snowshoeing and paragliding.
