La Clusaz is a charming, traditional Savoyard village and is one of the prettiest most established resorts in the Alps. It is a resort centred around a genuine mountain village that is full of Gallic charm and atmosphere. As it is close to Geneva the short transfers are a bonus. La Clusaz Skiing and Snowboarding

There are five main areas to ski in La Clusaz providing an extensive amount of interesting terrain to play on. Beginners will enjoy the nursery slopes around the village, up at Beauregard and on Cret du Merle. The Beauregard has some lovely blues to build up to. Intermediates will delight in the gentle slopes at the top of the Beauregard and more advanced intermediates will be able to fly down the steeper slopes of La Balme. Advanced skiers will take on the black Vraille run that leads to the speed skiing slope and is very steep. On the other side of the sector is the entirely off-piste Combe de Bellachat that can be reached and as usual we recommend a guide for this. There is a terrain park for snowboarders and La Blame is good for freeriders. The area has good cross country facilities with about 70Km of loops. The highlight of skiing in La Clusaz is the mountain restaurants as there are plenty of traditional charming places to eat lunch and at reasonable prices.

 

La Clusaz Apres Ski

There is live music in the Caves du Paccaly and Le Salto has Sky TV and draught Guinness. Off the slopes there is an ice rink, tobogganing, excellent aquatic centre and plenty of good walks.
