Formigal Ski Holidays

Formigal is now Spain's largest resort. The area extends inot four valleys so a lovely big ski area to play in. The resort has the atmosphere of a traditional mountain village and there is great nightlife to be had in the evenings as the Spanish certainly know how to party!There is a good selection of hotels to choose from in Formigal for a great ski holiday.

Formigal Skiing and Snowboarding

There is 137Km's of piste for skiers and boarders that extends over four valleys. New freeride areas have also been added along with a second snow park. Heli skiing is available and the Ski Ratrak that takes you to some fantastic runs and a lovely mountain restaurant. Beginners should head to Sextas or Anayet for lessons as there are lovely gentle slopes here. The Spansih ski school is good and will get beginners making their first turns sooner than later. Formigal has 5 stars for intermediates as it is a paradise for reds and blues. Runs such as Sarrios and Lanuza in the Izas area will challenge you that bit further. More advanced skiers and boarders should try the free ride areas away from the pistes or hire a guide for some real action! Snowboarders will find two parks and a boardercross.

Formigal Apres Ski

Apres ski in Formigal is very lively as the Spanish know how to host a good party and create a vibrant atmosphere. Later in the evening head for La Luna that is a lively bar or Abstracken for dancing. Off the slopes there is snowmobiling, dog sledding, night skiing, snow biking and snow shoeing. Why not take a panoramic helicopter flight for something different?

Creche at the Sextas base for children aged 4 months. Half days from £126 and full days from £193

Kindergarten at Anayet for children aged 2 and a half years. It has an outdoor play area and magic carpet. Half days from £122 and full days from £194
